SCULPTURES IN THE PARK

This sculpture was interesting. Because of the design, like the strings of a guitar you could hear music, beautiful.

Front on this sculpture looks like a fat baby bird, and the bottom picture side on he looks like a human head.

Two sculptures and the city in the background.

One of the organisers said to me that you get a better picture looking up inside the sculpture.

This is the picture looking up.

TAKAPUNA MARKETS - AUCKLAND

Different ears, different color eyes, but oh so cute.

Its funny once you start noticing something you see them everywhere. Running out of room for these skulls but one day we may build a barn and they will be right at home.

This was the guy we brought the skull from. I thought he had lots of character. I only had my Sony Cybershot camera and there were so many people at market it was hard to get a nice clear photo. We did see a guy with a giant lizard (about 16 inches long, NZ standard size not Australia ha ha) but he got lost in the crowd.

NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS TRAINING SESSION IN AUCKLAND

Me and the coach Wayne Bennett

Peter and Willie Mason. Makes Peter look small.

I got Peter stand opposite me so I could sneak to the side and take this photo.

Look at the size of the camera this photographer has to lug around.

LOCUST

I was out hanging the washing out and noticed this very large locust sitting on the washing. The sun and light was on him showing his beautiful colors. It surprised me as I thought they were just brown.

MY GARDEN

I have had my eye on this beautiful urn for a while waiting for it to go on special. We popped into the nursery today and lo and behold it was on special, 30% off so I had to have. I love the aged gray look of it and how it picks up the color of the steps.

FEELING CREATIVE

I was on Pinterest today and looking at all the beautiful photos was inspired to put some objects of art below the beams. For those who have not heard of Pinterest it is an amazing site that give arty people lots of inspiration. I am pleased with the results. Also the horse pillow was originally a sweatshirt with the horse pattern on front and I turned it into a cushion as my partner loves horses, hence the horse on the side cabinet.
