XMAS IN AUCKLAND

Yesterday Jolie, Cassandra and I went into town. Every xmas we go to  Smith & Caughy  to meet Santa Claus. They do the most magical display. It is hard to get it on camera because of all the lights. Also the famous huge Farmers santa that is an icon. It has shifted into the main street.

That night six of us went in to see the Franklin Road xmas lights. It is lovely to see them all in one street in an old part of town.

They must have been collecting these balls for a long time.

This beautiful xmas tree of lights have been shifted into a park. There are 365,000 lights, 20 men 7 days to put up.

They had these very comfortable bean bag chairs underneath and was very magical looking up at the changing lights.

The view looking up.

Notice the vintage car lit up.

This was my favourite. I am sure you can see why.

  3. Auckland has such beautiful Christmas lights and you captured them beautifully, the one in the park is spectacular. I haven't seen any in Perth yet, but then I haven't been out to look for them.
