PHILLIPA'S PICKS FOR AUGUST - LIPSTICK

PADDY'S PICKS AUGUST - HOLDING HANDS

JACKY'S PICK AUGUST - INSPIRING GARDEN LANDSCAPE

I love toparies and this photo was taken outside a beautiful house not far from us. I love the beautiful urns as well.

I thought I would add the garden where we are living. The framework was there but all the pots etc are mine.

LAMB COLLAGE

SPRING IN CORNWALL PARK

We are so lucky we live close to beautiful Cornwall Park especially at this time of the year to be able to see the daffodils and spring lambs.

Phil you would be envious, these were the sheep you saw when you were over here and now they have cute little black lambs.

This mum must be flavor of the day because I am sure she wouldn't have had all these lambs.

Isn't he a cutey, it was hard to get up close to them as they would just walk away with their mums.

I love these photos. They were taken amongst the olive groves.

I like the contrast of the bare trees and the beautiful blossom tree.

SHARON'S PICKS FOR AUGUST - FASHION YOU LIKE

I didn't take this photo so don't know if it counts but this layered look is what I like, same as Phillipa. Little sister copying bigger sister.

PHILLIPA'S PICKS FOR AUGUST - COTTON

I got this cotton apron when I was on holiday in France with Phillipa.

PHILLIPA'S PICKS FOR AUGUST - SILK

I think I am right that these are silk flowers that were at the cemetery.

Not sure whether this dress is silk but had a silkey feel to it.

PADDY'S PICKS AUGUST - NATURE

JACKY'S PICK AUGUST - CLOSE UP FABRIC AND LACE

PADDY'S PICKS AUGUST - OUT AND ABOUT

These photos were taken at dusk on the last evening of our holiday in Queenstown.

Doesn't the yellow in the photo stand out.

OUR NATIVE KOWHAI FLOWER

This is our beautiful native Kowhai flower. The birds love it particularly the Tui.

RAMS HORNS

We got these amazing rams horns at an antique shop in Geraldine and is now displayed in our lounge.

SHEEP HERDING ON MAIN HIGHWAY

Peter and I were on our way to Christchurch. I was looking at the scenery (it was about eight o'clock in the morning) and was noticing the sheep in the paddocks and noticing the steam coming from their mouths, but the sheep were quite a distance away. Well lo and behold we go around the corner and what do we see, all these sheep going down the road. I couldn't decide which photo to put on blog so have put a few.

CEMETERIES QUEENSTOWN AND ARROWTOWN

I was pleased when I was on holiday in the South Island to find two cemeteries. The bottom photos were taken in Queenstown and have the most beautiful angels I have seen so far in New Zealand.

I loved the backdrop of these cemeteries, very peaceful.

It's sad to see graves of such young children but thought it appropriate to have a young angel as gravestone.

This family plot had a grave for William MacKenzie from the famous Walter Peak Station. William lost his life in a snow slip in sight of his home. He was only 21.
