O - IS FOR OLD

This is an old chinese miners house in Arrowtown. We had a look inside. They must have had it very hard in those days and a lot of them had left their families back in China. They were trying to earn enough money to be able to return to their homeland and buy a small farm. Very few returned. They were very resourceful though. They had really big vegetable gardens which they all shared the produce.

  2. John and I went there, its a beautiful place, there was snow along the edge of the river. Lot of the miners huts where smaller than this, hard to imagine them living in them. Love the photo well composed and balanced
