This is a quarry in Waihi in the Coromandel. The town gets a lot of their income from the families who work here. Unfortunately just recently they have had to put a lot of miners off as it wasn't paying.
the top one looks a bit scary great shadows the second i like the shapes of the window and door and the cross beams make it look a very strong construction the third what is the reflection is it taken inside the car the last one makes me feel lonely as it seems a lonely place to be
aren't the colours just wonderful, would love to make a painting in these colours, I love the 2nd one especially, but love the contrast of the green hills then the scarring of the mine.
